Search queries and article performance
What people searched before visiting, which searches are close to page one, and how each article performs.
With Search Console connected, Analytics → Search queries shows the last 28 days by search:
- Top searches — what brings visitors, with clicks, impressions, click rate and position.
- Close to page one — average position 8–20 with at least 50 impressions: the quickest wins.
- Few clicks for the position — on page one but clicked less than half as often as usual for that position: rewrite the title and description.
- Pages competing — several of your pages share one search; merge them or make one the main page.
Each published article also shows its own clicks, impressions, position and searches. Google hides rare searches for privacy, so totals can be lower than the site total.
