Updating live posts safely

Why eWriting.net stops when a post was edited in your CMS.

When you push changes to a published post, eWriting.net first reads the post from your site. If someone changed it in WordPress, Blogger or Joomla since eWriting.net last saved it, nothing is overwritten. You see both versions and choose: Keep website version (it becomes the article's newest revision) or Overwrite website version.

Choose which fields to push — fields you leave unchecked stay as they are on the website. Changing a published post's slug changes its URL, so it is only sent when you tick it.
